Pine Grove Vineyards sits on a single ridge above the Columbia River, where the
afternoon wind sweeps clean through the canyon and the soil tells a story older
than the vines themselves. We bought this land in 1998 with nothing more than
a conviction that the slope could produce something honest.
Today we farm 42 acres of estate vineyard — Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a small
block of Syrah that thrives in the gravelly loam. We pick by hand, ferment in
small batches, and age each lot separately until it tells us it's ready. That
usually takes longer than we'd like.
Our wines are not made to be loud. They are made to be true — to the place
they come from, and to the people who share them.
